Black TV Ratings for Week of April 18 - 24
ABC stays on top as it continues to grow in appeal with black TV audiences

(April 26, 2011) With "Dancing with the Stars" still holding on to No.1, ABC's popularity with black households continues to grow as other programs in its lineup draw attention. It got help from the Easter holiday, during which black families have long been in the habit of watching the vintage movie, "The Ten Commandments," with Charlton Heston. The special claimed 1.3 million black viewers, but didn't even place among the week's top programs in white households.

ABC was the week's most watched TV network, with 11 million tuning in nine of shows on the Top 25. CBS followed close behind with 10.2 million for nine of its programs on the chart. Fax was a distant third with 6.2 million for five shows.

The total number of viewers for the Top 25, was recorded by Nielsen, was down six percent from the previous week to 29.6 million.
