households (April
26, 2007) Fox’s “American Idol” seems permanently parked in first and
second place on the top 25 shows in black households. The Tuesday and
Wednesday versions drew a combined black audience of 4.8 million black
homes during the third week of April.
The winning network for the week was CBS, which claimed eight programs on
the chart. ABC followed with six shows. Fox had five, CW notched four and
NBC posted two.
The total number of black households watching the top 25 shows, according
to Nielsen, was 30.5 million. That’s just a slight dip of 1.5 percent
