Black TV Ratings for Week of April 15 - 21
The number of TV shows with at least a million black viewers continues to drop

(April 25, 2013) As the season winds down for many prime time TV shows, the number of programs able to draw at least a million Black viewers each week continues to decline. This gives the talent competition shows -- where there are rarely repeats -- a chance to dominate the Top 25 chart of favorites. It's also a category where CBS lacks programming, and the perennial network leader saw its Black audience for the week's Top 25 drop by 26%. Its newest entry, Golden Boy (featuring Chi McBride pictured above) on Tuesday night, did move up to No.8.

CBS was the most watched network with 9.8 million viewers across 11 shows. ABC captured 7.8 million Black viewers for eight of its shows. Fox took third place with 4.7 million watching 8 of its top shows.

The total number of viewers fort he Top 25 during the third week of April, according to Nielsen, was down 17% from the previous week to 26.1 million.
