Black TV Ratings for Week of April 14 - 20
'Scandal' posts largest black audience ever for season finale, giving ABC top network title

(April 24, 2014) There seems to be no end to the growing appeal of the political drama, Scandal, and the final episode of its third season attracted the show's biggest audience ever. Of the 10.6 million total audience that tuned in, black viewers accounted for 4.1 million, or 38 percent.

ABC was easily the most watched TV network in prime time for the third week of April. Among the Top 25 shows, it notched 13.7 million viewers across 10 of its shows. In second was CBS with 9.9 million also for 10 shows. NBC claimed four million for four programs.

The total number of viewers for the Top 25 shows in black households, according to Nielsen, was down 11 percent from the previous week to 28.6 million.
