Uptown Magazine's April/May issue is the largest in its eight-year history

(April 24, 2012) Uptown Magazine has announced that it has just published its largest issue ever since its 2004 inception. The April/May issue boasts over 105 pages and features advertisements from companies such as Lexus, Grey Goose, Lincoln and Verizon. It also includes a variety of travel partners including Anguilla Tourism Board, The Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Virginia, Visit Florida and Cayman Island Department of Tourism.

Actress Paula Patton (Jumping the Broom; Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol) graces the cover of the April/May 2012 issue of Uptown Magazine, the only luxury lifestyle magazine for the affluent African American consumer.

Ron Burkle's The Yucaipa Companies, Magic Johnson Enterprises and InterMedia Partners announced in January of this year that they merged their Vibe and Uptown businesses with the BlackBook Media business and The Access Network Company. The merger of these premier assets was part of their media and technology consolidation strategy and follows an investment from the Yucaipa/Johnson partnership in January 2011 when it joined InterMedia Partners as the owners of Vibe Holdings, the entities' parent company.
