Bounce TV to premiere original family-oriented sitcom, 'One Love' tonight

(April 4, 2014) Bounce TV, the nation’s first-ever broadcast television network designed for African American audiences, will premiere its newest original series, One Love, Tuesday, April 8 at 9:00 p.m. (ET).

One Love follows the hilarious adventures of Pastor William (Mark Curry, Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper) and Carolyn Winters (Sheryl Lee Ralph, Moesha), the first family of Mt. Sinai church. Together for thirty years, they’ve led their congregation as perfect role models, but when their adult children begin to navigate relationships of their own, they have to find a balance between sharing their wisdom and letting them learn from their own humorous mistakes. Carl Payne, Chico Benymon, Sarah Fletcher and Drew Sidora play the children.

Demetrius Spencer and Bob Keetch of One Media are executive producers of One Love.  The series was created and executive produced by Carla Banks Waddles (Half and Half, The Soul Man). Leslie Small (Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain) also serves as an Executive Producer as well as director.

As Bounce TV continues to expand original programming efforts, the network’s ratings and viewership continues to grow as well.  Bounce TV posted its fourth consecutive quarter of growth in the just-completed first quarter 2014 ratings period. In primetime,  Bounce TV was up double-digits compared to last year, racking up impressive viewership gains among households (+75%) and in targeted sales demos P18-49 (+57%) and P25-54 (+62%).

Bounce TV targets African American adults with a programming mix of original series, theatrical motion pictures, live sports, documentaries, specials, game shows and inspirational faith-based programs. Since its launch in 2011, Bounce TV has seen overwhelming success, with accelerated growth and expansion among station groups, advertisers and viewers alike.  Bounce TV is seen in: 88 markets, including all of the top African American television markets; 89% of African American television homes; and 72% of the total television homes in the United States.
