‘American Idol’ gives Fox week’s top three spots; CBS is the network
winner
(March
27, 2007) The “American Idol” juggernaut rolls on, giving Fox first and
second place on the week’s list of top 25 shows in black households.
“House,” the popular medical drama, rode the talent show’s coattails to a
third place finish and not even making the two previous weeks.
The NCAA’s Final Four delivered CBS’ highest rated show on the list, and
led its nine entries on the top 25. Fox took second place among the
networks with six shows. The CW network claimed five shows, followed by
ABC’s three and NBC’s two.
The total number of black households watching the top 25 shows, according
to Nielsen Media Research, was 33.4 million. Virtually the same as the
previous week’s total.
