Black TV Ratings for Week of March 24 - 30
'Scandal' takes on March Madness and wins battle for viewers on Thursday night


(April 3, 2014) ABC "Scandal" viewers didn't get run over by CBS and March Madness. The political drama held on to its dominance over Thursday nights and remained the No.1 show on the Top 25 of black viewers' favorites for the fourth consecutive week.

The NCAA's mens basketball Road to the Final Four did give CBS the title of most watched TV network for the week. CBS had 19.9 million viewers across a whopping 15 programs on the Top 25. ABC was second with 8.7 million for five shows, while NBC notched 3.4 million with three shows.

According to Nielsen data, the total number of viewers watching the Top 25 shows for the fourth week in March increased 11% over the previous week to 34.2 million.
