Terri Winston named associate publisher for fifth 'Who's Who in Black Chicago'

(March 29, 2014) The Who's Who Publishing Company has announced the appointment of Terri Winston as Associate Publisher of the fifth anniversary edition of Who's Who In Black Chicago. The publication will be released in June 2014.

Winston brings to her new position years of experience in publishing and entrepreneurship. She was founder and CEO of the trade magazine, SalonSENSE, a leading publication for African-American stylists and salon professionals. At Who's Who, Winston will oversee editorial and sales for the forthcoming edition.

"I am so very excited to serve as the Associate Publisher for this fifth anniversary edition of Who's Who In Black Chicago." says, Winston. "We will continue to celebrate African-American Achievement in our world class city."

The historic collectable fifth edition will include a tribute to selected Men of Influence, and a historic overview of African Americans in metropolitan Chicago, IL. Also included will be special sections highlighting the city's most influential, governmental leaders, corporate leaders, media professionals, doctors, lawyers, spiritual leaders, community leaders, business professionals, entrepreneurs, educators and high school and college youth leaders.

The coffee table quality Who's Who volumes are published annually in more than 26 cities in the U.S. Since the first edition in Atlanta more than 25 years ago, the books now recognize achievements by African Americans in cities like Baltimore, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, San Antonio, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Louisville, St. Louis, New York City, to name just a few. Additionally, the company publishes Who's Who in Latino Columbus.

Carter Womack, Chief Operating Officer of Who's Who Publishing, said he's looking forward to the contributions Winston will bring to this year's publication.
