Black TV Ratings for Week of March 18 - 24
'Scandal' overtakes 'American Idol' to return to No.1 show for the week in black homes

(March 28, 2013) With passions running high on ABC's "Scandal," the political drama shot to more than double its number of black viewers from the previous week. More than 2.8 million black fans tuned in and pushed ABC ahead of CBS despite the presence of March Madness.

ABC was the week's most watched TV network, with 11.9 million tuning in nine of its shows on the Top 25. CBS fell to a rare second place posting 10.2 million viewers for ten shows. Fox was a distant third with 3.6 million for only two shows.

Nielsen recorded a total of 29.3 million viewers for the Top 25 shows in black households, which was a 14 percent increase over the previous week.
