Week of March 19 - 25 Black viewers
still ‘Love New York;’ BET is still week’s network winner (March
29, 2007) The top 25 cable shows in black households for the third week of
March looked similar to the second week. VH1 carried the top spot again
with “I Love New York,” and gained 200,00 black households over the
previous week. BET’s “College Hill” moved up from third to second, but
lost some viewers. .
Even without “Rip The Runway,” BET was the winning network for the week,
with five entries on the top 25. VH1 followed with four shows. USA took
third place with three.
The total number of black households watching the top 25, according to
Nielsen Media Research, was 14.1 million, a 10 percent drop from the
previous week’s total of 15.8 million.
