Walton Isaacson names Kirsten Atkinson Vice President of Media and Branded Integration

(March 17, 2015) Kirsten Atkinson has joined Walton Isaacson as VP of Media and Branded Integration, a new position, effective immediately. Atkinson, who has over 15 years of advertising experience across package goods, technology, beer and automotive, was previously with Team One where she served as a Media Director.

In her new position she reports to the agency's co-founders Aaron Walton and Cory Isaacson. Atkinson's experience ranges from national to local planning across all media platforms with a focus on innovation in the strategic planning and buying process. Atkinson, who began her career at Starcom Worldwide as a media planner on Procter & Gamble, has worked on traditional channels as well as emerging media, new social platforms, interactive TV, branded entertainment, addressable TV, experiential and digital as both primary channels and traditional extensions.

Commenting on the hire, Walton Isaacson co-founder and partner Aaron Walton, said, "Kirsten's experience across platforms and media as well as cultures is a perfect match with our agency's DNA. In particular, we are keen on her ability to traverse traditional channels along with branded entertainment and experiential."

Focusing on new platforms, Atkinson has launched multiple award-winning campaigns and first-to-market partnerships including Lexus Degisn Disrupted, an experiential fashion week event; CNNgo, a custom on demand platform; and Jimmy Fallon Live Commercials. Deeply integrated and innovative programs that deliver results for client brands are always the end goal and outcome.  

A 2014 Ad Age Media Maven, co-founder of ADCOLOR in LA, board member of ThinkLA's MAT (Multicultural Advertising Training) program and part of the team responsible for the Lexus GS Launch winning AdWeek's 2012 "Media Plan of the Year," Atkinson has worked on such brands as Miller Brewing Co., Nissan North America, Mitsubishi Automotive, and Symantec Corp.

She graduated with honors from Clark Atlanta University where she received a BA in Mass Media Arts/Public Relations. Subsequently she completed the AAAA's "Institute of Advertising Studies" in 2003.
