The
Week of March 5 - 11 ‘I Love New
York’ puts VH1 on top, but ‘College Hill’ makes BET winning network (March
15, 2007) Reality shows dominated the list of top 25 most popular cable
programs in black households. VH1’s “I Love New York” was the number one
show for the first full week of March, with just under two million homes
tuning in to both airings.
However, the return of “College Hill” helped make BET the winning network
for the week. Three million black households tuned in watch one of the
four airings. The network had eight shows on the chart. Nickelodeon and
USA followed with four entries each.
The total number of black households watching the top ten, according to
Nielsen Media Research, was 14.8, a 28 percent increase over the previous
