GlobalHue said to have lost assignment as AOR for Jeep advertising account

(March 10, 2015) According to reports from industry news source, Adweek, GlobalHue is no longer the agency of record for Chryler's Jeep brand. The agency was selected to handle the account in January 2010.

The nearly five years of creative work for the New York- and Detroit-based agency was highlighted by its Super Bowl XLVIII spot featuring music icon Bob Dylan and last summer's coup utilizing the posthumous hit single from Michael Jackson, "Love Never Felt So Good."

"Global Hue's position as the agency of record (AOR) for the Jeep brand has ended," said the message from Chrylser's corporate communications office. According to a statement from a company spokesperson, the automaker is reviewing potential agencies which specialize in African-American marketing and advertsing.

There's no official word yet on which agency will assume the AOR mantle, though The Richards Group produced Jeep's most recent Super Bowl to less than favorable notices in the trade press.
