Black TV Ratings for Week of February 9 - 15
Audience for Fox's 'Empire' now bigger than 'Scandal' and 'Murder' combined

(February 10, 2015) Popularity for Fox's "Empire" seems unstoppable, as the music industry drama passed the eight million mark for total number of black viewers. That more than ABC's hit "Scandal" and How To Get Away With Murder" combined. However, with little other programming that can match the appeal of its mega-hit, the Fox network has yet to find other shows to benefit from Empire's lead.

The most-watched network in black households continued to be CBS, with 13.4 million viewers across 12 of its shows on the Top 25. ABC took second place with 11.3 million for six of its charted shows, while Fox had 12 million for four programs.

The total number of viewers for the 25 most popular shows in black homes during the second week of February was 40.8 million, or six percent less than the previous week.
