Black Cable TV Ratings for Week  February 11 - 17
NBA All-Star weekend gives TNT easy victory as most watched cable network

(February 25, 2013)  With stars Lebron James and Kobe Bryant as its biggest draw, the NBA was able to get enough interest in its All-Star weekend to draw as many viewers this year to cable TV as it did last year. The number of Black viewers dropped 10 percent between 2010 and 2011.

TNT, the network that carried the NBA, was the most watched cable network in black households for the second week of February. It had 12.3 million viewers across seven NBA shows. BET followed with 4.7 million for three of its programs. Disney took third with 3.0 million for three shows.

The total number of viewers for the Top 25 most popular cable shows in Black households, according to Nielsen, was 33 million. Thatís up 26.4 percent from the previous week.
