Black TV Ratings for Week of Feb. 11 - 17
ABC's
'Scandal' takes No.1 for the week in black households and all key demos
(February
20, 2013) The black appeal of ABC's drama, Scandal was at an all-time
peak last week, with 2.8 million black viewers tuning in. The show won
the night in all key demographics (18-34, women 18-49), thanks in large
part to having Grey's Anatomy as a lead-in for the first time. Twitter
reports that Scandal is consistently one of the most referenced show
each Thursday. So far this season Scandal has generated over 1.6 million
tweets.
The most watched network in Black homes was -- again -- CBS, with 13.9
million watching 14 of its shows on the Top 25 of the week. ABC notched
5.1 million for three shows and a distant second place. Fox was close
behind with 4.9 million across three shows.
The total number of viewers for the Top 25 shows in the second week of
February was down 20 percent from the previous week to 29 million.
