Cable TV Ratings for Week of Feb. 4 - 10
Super Tuesday coverage keeps CNN among favorites; USA week's top network

(February 13, 2008) The stakes for Barack Obama in last week's Super Tuesday primary races had enough black households' attention to again place CNN's three-hour coverage among the most popular cable programs. Not that the news channel didn’t have competition; two of BET's three shows on the chart also aired on Tuesday.

MTV took the No.1 spot with "Making The Band" and TBS' "House of Payne" block claimed second through fourth positions.

USA was the most watched network among the top 25 with five programs to its credit. TBS was second with four. CNN and BET both had three.

The total number of black viewers watching the top 25, according to Nielsen Media Research, was 22.8 million. That’s drop of 16 percent from the previous week.
