Lexus enters partnership with Grammy-winning recording artist Alicia Keys

(February 11, 2008) Lexus has partnered with Grammy award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist Alicia Keys, bringing together the passionate artistry of Keys with Lexus' pursuit of perfection. The luxury automaker will support the 32-city, U.S. Lexus Presents the Alicia Keys "As I Am" Tour, kicking off in Hampton, VA on April 18th and concluding at the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York City on June 18th.

The relationship between Lexus and Alicia Keys was driven by Walton | Isaacson, the Agency of Record for Lexus' African American advertising.

"The luxury of Lexus is reflected in the elegance and sophistication of Alicia Keys; her grace and style are tremendous," said Steve Jett, national marketing communications manager, Lexus. "In the same way that Keys' passion resonates in her music, at Lexus we are driven to create the finest luxury automobiles through the attention to detail that is required to create refined art and design."

Through this partnership, Lexus and Alicia Keys have joined together in a dedicated philanthropic effort to benefit children across the country. Both Lexus and Keys have played a major role in improving children's lives, and as the Tour launches they will work to raise awareness for youth-driven charitable initiatives with an emphasis on reaching local communities nationwide.

"Creating a relationship with Lexus is an honor for me," said Keys. "Lexus is an elegant and inspiring brand and together we’ll work to reach children in communities across the nation through music."

This sponsorship represents an opportunity for Lexus to support the arts while introducing Keys' fans to Lexus vehicles.
