Keith Clinkscales' Shadow League names Yussuf Khan VP of national
ad sales
(February 8, 2013) Yussuf Khan has been named Vice President of National
Ad Sales for The Shadow League, a new sports culture digital property
founded by former ESPN executive Keith Clinkscales. In this position,
Khan will be responsible for all aspects of sales including securing new
business, expanding business with existing clients, developing affiliate
partnerships and building out advertising operations for The Shadow
League.
The Shadow League Digital, a multi-platform content creation company, is
the sole-owner of TheShadowLeague.com, a site dedicated to presenting
journalistically sound sports coverage with an honest cultural
perspective that insightfully informs sports fans worldwide.
Khan, who began his career in sports media at ESPN in sales planning,
has an extensive career in the media industry through senior sales
positions at College Sports Television, Big Lead Sports and Interactive
One. He joins The Shadow League from Interactive One, where as Vice
President of Business Development, he was responsible for generating new
revenue from a diverse list of accounts, including the pharmaceutical,
CPG, financial and travel/leisure categories.
"Yussuf has a proven track record as a seasoned ad sales executive with
multi-media ventures," said Clinkscales. "I know he will be an asset to
our team, and look forward to utilizing his extensive knowledge in
digital sales to expand our brand."
Khan holds a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from Trinity
College, a Certificate in Sports Marketing from New York University and
will receive an MBA in Media Management from Metropolitan College of New
York in 2013.

the launch of the new online destination dedicated to serving sports
fans as well providing in depth articles on topical issues of the day.
TheShadowLeague.com delivers engaging, insightful and entertaining
coverage of the intersection of sports, pop culture and race.

ESPN announced a relationship with The Shadow League that consists of
funding as well as the potential to develop various content
