Cable TV Ratings for Week of Jan. 28 - Feb. 3
The presidential debate rated high on the list of week’s top cable shows

(February 6,2008) With Barack Obama solidly locked in a two-way battle for the Democratic presidential nomination, it should be no surprise that the Jan. 31 debate -- and the post-debate follow-up -- were among the highest rated shows of the week. CNN pulled in 1.3 million viewers for both programs. TNT's back-to-back block of "House of Payne" took the top three spots on the top 25.

The week's winning network was Disney, which claimed six programs on the list. TBS and TNT tied for second with four each. BET and CNN posted three.

The total number of viewers for the top 25 shows, according to Nielsen Media Research, was 27.4 million, a decline of four percent from the previous week.
