Cable TV Ratings for Week of Jan. 21 - 27
BET's gospel hit lifts channel to top spot; USA and TBS are top networks

(January 31, 2008) The star-studded "Celebration of Gospel" gave BET 2.5 million viewers and the number one spot on the week’s top 25 most popular cable shows in black households. In fact, Sunday night was very good to the network. It also delivered the week's fourth most watch show, the "UNCF Telethon," which broke up TBS's winning block of back-to-back airing of "House of Payne."

The week's winning networks were USA and TBS, both which placed four shows on the charts. BET and Disney followed with three each.

The total number of black viewers of the top 25, according to Nielsen Media Research, was 27.4 million, or 16 percent greater than the previous week's total.
