Robert Ingram joins Vibe magazine as associate publisher

(January 29, 2007) VIBE Media Group today announced the appointment of Robert Ingram as Associate Publisher of VIBE magazine. Ingram will be responsible for the diversity efforts and initiatives at the top urban title.

Ingram, 47, most recently served as Senior Account Executive of Black Enterprise Magazine where he managed the strategic marketing and sales of diversity, franchise and consumer product-focused advertising in the mid-west. Additionally, he has served as Publisher of Savoy Professional Magazine, Director of Corporate Relations, National Society of Black Engineers, Associate Publisher, U.S. Black Engineer and Hispanic Engineer magazines and National Recruitment Advertising Manager of The Baltimore Sun/Tribune Brands.

“We are thrilled that Bob has joined the VIBE family,” said Eric Gertler, CEO of VIBE Media Group, “and we are confident that his past experiences will make him a strong addition to our team.”

Publisher Len Burnett added: “Bob is well-respected in the publishing industry and we are excited about the role he will assume in leading VIBE’s diversity efforts.”  

Ingram received a B.A. in History from Lincoln University and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Baltimore.
