TV Ratings for Week of Jan. 14 - 20
Fox is the dominator with football and Idol; ties CBS again for top net title

(January 15, 2008) Fox drew record audiences with its competition programs, thanks to NFC's match-up of the N.Y. Giants and Green Bay Packers, and "American Idol." It was no contest as the top five spots on the week's most popular shows with black viewers went to Fox.

Fox's domination gave it a head-to-head tie with CBS for top network of the week. Each had eight entries on the chart. NBC followed with five shows, while ABC and the CW each posted two.

The total number of viewers for the top 25, according to Nielsen Media Research, for the third week of January was 50.1 million -- a 12 percent increase over the previous week’s total.
