TV Ratings for Week of Jan. 7 - 13
Terminator, football boost Fox in week's ratings; ties CBS for top network title

(January 15, 2008) Thanks to its college football coverage and the new series, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," the Fox took two of the three spots of the top 25 most popular shows with black households. Even though football was the favorite with all TV watchers, black viewers chose the Ohio vs LSU game over the NFL playoffs.

The coattails of its two winning shows allowed Fox to challenge CBS' usual domination as the week's most watched network. Both networks placed eight shows on the top 25. ABC claimed five, followed by NBC with four.

The total number of viewers for the top 25, according to Nielsen Media Research, was 44.6 million, or 11 percent more than the previous week.
