Cable TV Ratings for Week of Jan. 7 - 13
'Payne' power dominates the cable charts; Disney, USA tie for top network

(January 15, 2008) A four-hour block of back-to-back airings of "House of Payne" gave TBS the top four spot on the week's favorite cable shows in black households. More than seven million viewers tuned in for the quartet of the Tyler Perry series.

The week's top network was a tie between Disney and USA, both which placed five shows on the list. TBS and TNT both followed with four, and BET and A&E had a pair.

The total number of black viewers for the top 25 cable shows during the second week of January was 23.3 million, according to Nielsen Media Research. That’s a drop of ten percent from the previous week.
