Ethnic Print Media
Group and AUC Magazine publisher form partnership
(December
31, 2007) Johnson Media Inc., publisher of AUC Magazine, and Ethnic Print
Media Group have formed a strategic partnership to enable marketers to
better reach the increasingly elusive urban youth market. The two
companies will work together primarily on media planning and placement,
event planning, and grassroots marketing for students who attend colleges
with a large percentage of minority enrollment.
In February 2008, Johnson Media Inc. will expand AUC Magazine (America’s
Urban Colleges), a seven-year-old Atlanta-based publication that targets
urban college students. The publication will expand to 140 colleges and
universities across the country and have college representatives at each
school. The free, monthly magazine will increase its current circulation
to 100,000, reaching colleges from New York City to Los Angeles.
“With the expansion of AUC Magazine, it makes good business sense to
partner with a company that understands our market and can leverage its
resources to help us better serve our clients and grow quickly,” said
Kevin D. Johnson, president of Johnson Media Inc. “More often clients are
requesting a combination of ad placement, events, viral marketing, product
sampling, etc. and with the help of Ethnic Print Media Group, we can offer
those services to more clients at a much higher quality.”
“We have always been impressed with AUC Magazine’s ability to consistently
have its finger on the pulse of Atlanta’s urban youth,” said Trevor
Hansen, CEO of EPMG. “We are excited to embark on this strategic
partnership with a company that demonstrates a proven track record. At
EPMG, we are confident Johnson Media Inc. can take our clients into the
campuses, into the dorms and into college students’ lives. Johnson Media
Inc. runs a great show and we are proud to be a part of the national
expansion.”
Current clients include UPS, NASCAR, the National Basketball Association,
Major League Baseball, Boost Mobile, Burger King, EMI, and New Era.
Johnson Media Inc. is one of Atlanta’s fastest growing private companies,
averaging an annual percentage growth rate of 200 percent over the last
three years. An innovative media and marketing company, Johnson Media
Inc. specializes in helping companies increase profits by reaching
influential niche markets through traditional and new age advertising,
signature events, and grassroots efforts.
San Diego-based Ethnic Print Media Group serves clients nationwide by
delivering an effective, strategic approach to multicultural marketing.
EPMG is committed to providing clients unparalleled demographic data and
