RadioShack announces search for a new advertising agency

(January 5, 2009) RadioShack Corporation today announced that it has begun a review of advertising agencies for the creative portion of its business. The search seeks to identify candidate agencies capable of delivering creative concepts that are truly break-though, both in retail and consumer electronics. RadioShack reported advertising expenses of approximately $220 million for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2007.

Bay area publisher and Oakland Black Expo producer, Diane Howell, dies at 58

NAACP's fourth report on television industry measures shortfall in diversity

(December 24, 2008) The NAACP Hollywood Bureau has announced its latest findings in a new report titled "Out of Focus, Out of Sync--Take 4" that shows the entertainment industry, particularly television, continues to fall seriously short in achieving diversity.
